Yesterday was Emma's 1st day of K3. She had a good day and made a couple of new friends. She got in the car singing some new songs she learned. I love to hear her sing....five little monkeys swinging from a tree, teasing Mr. Alligator...you can't catch me. Along came Mr. Alligator quiet as can be and he snapped that monkey right out of that tree. Brings a smile to my face just typing it.
Check out these pics of our cat, Jessie as she terrorizes this poor chipmunk.

Cute pictures. Emma looks like she is ready to go with her sweet backpack. I saw Carson yesterday with his and it cracked me up.
Don't let Heather N. see the picturs of the cat. She thinks they are evil. Them and pigeons. lol.
I was reading about "Hemingway Cats", "mitten cats" or cats with extra digits (you may notice in the first pic, our cat has thumbs!) and found this:
Ernest Hemingway was an amazing man, with many talents and interests. He was also an inveterate cat-lover, because he admired the spirit and independence of cats. Hemingway acquired his first cat from a ship's captain in Key West, Florida, where he made his home for a number of years. This cat, which may have been a Maine Coon breed, had extra toes (technically known as polydactyl, latin for "many digits"). Today, approximately 60 cats, half of them polydactyl, make their home in the Ernest Hemingway Museum and Home, in Key West, protected by the terms of his will.
we had a hemingway cat wander up into the yard at our old house. i immediately picked it up and loved on it and bradley FLIPPED OUT at the sight of his feet. he wouldnt even get near it, i was like "uhm baby its still a cat, its not a mutant that will eat your brain"
emma is so cute! that backpack is as big as she is! you dressed her really cute for her first day of school, too!
Your cat scares me. She does not like me but I myself was born with an extra thumb so I feel she knows we have a connection.
She's a cutey..she always has that little smile on her face...
SO CUTE!!
If Jessie didn't catch the chipmunk, I'm sure Callie did. There are always blood stains or feathers or something on our front porch! And she doesn't have extra digits (or even claws!)
